newlook.com.sg runs its online services as a home business. For security reasons, we do not offer 'cash-and-carry' service. If you wish to pay us a visit, we will only receive you at the doorway, strictly no entry into the house.
Operationally, we use customized programs specially developed to process online orders and track order fulfillment. Generating of receipts as well as printing of receipts, courier forms and shipping invoices are simply a few clicks away. We spend most of the time improving the website, answering enquiry and preparing orders for shipment.
Who Are We
Newlook Marketing is formed as a home business in year 2002, to offer hosiery and socks to online shoppers in an easy, convenient and yet secured way. This is made possible by the passions of 2 persons, namely, Larry Chang and Sherisse Tay.
Larry, with a Masters in Technology Management from Griffith University, developed the most needed e-commerce engine for the website. This is further enhanced with an integrated backend system to process online order and track order fulfillment.
Devoting full time to the running of the online business, Larry's key areas of responsibility are product procurement, website updates, search engine optimization and handling of user enquiry.
Working hours: 2pm - 6pm, 11pm - 2am (Singapore time GMT +8:00).
Sherisse, with a diploma in Business Administration, handles the day-to-day packing of orders, customer service as well as follow-ups on shipping issues and order tracking. Sherisse is well known by all our courier service companies that we liase with.
Juggling with her other commitments, Sherisse works part time to help out in this business and most importantly as a backup to ensure continuity of the business.

Our Values
Extensive range of hosiery and socks. Newlook Marketing offers hundred over styles of hosiery and socks, a collection size that far exceeds any departmental store.
'Unlimited' stocks. We have agreements with local suppliers to purchase their goods on an adhoc basis and to retail them at prevailing retail price. Often, we have to self collect the purchase from our suppliers.
Ship out within a day. Even without any stock onhand, we are able to ship out orders within 24 business hours. This is because our suppliers are located merely less than half an hour drive away in this small Singapore island. We do kept certain popular styles to save us a few trips.
Low overheads. Due to our low inventory level, we don't require any warehousing facility. We don't require a physical storefront as we operate solely online. With these saving, we gladly offer you good price and excellent customer service and followup.
Good price. Our price of hosiery and socks are generally lower than the West, due to the relatively smaller market demand in Asia as well as the standard of living in this region.
Display currency. We offers 23 major display currencies, updated daily. In this way, shoppers can easily compare our prices with that of their local departmental stores.
Low Shipping charges. For local orders, we absorb the cost for free delivery by post mail. For international orders, we offer lowcost airmail and registered airmail shipping, rarely seen online due to the fact that this would require a trip to the post office.
We charge the exact shipping charges that our delivery service agent would charge us. No shipping and handling fees and no hidden costs.
More shipping options. We offer worldwide courier services by UPS, FedEx and SingPost as well as lowcost airmail and registered airmail. The cost of shipping and the estimated delivery time is clearly stated in the shipping method options as you add items to the shopping bag.
Integrated Tracking of orders. We provide integrated tracking of orders on our Contact Us page for FedEx, UPS and Speedpost courier services as well as registered airmail.
Order Cancellation. Prior to shipment, shoppers may unconditionally cancel their order and get a full refund; no penalty or administrative charges.
Privacy. We will not disclose, share, transfer, sell or rent personally identifiable information to any third party. See our Privacy policy.
Receipt of merchandise. On the estimated arrival date, we always send our shoppers an email to check if the goods have arrived while providing the tracking details as well as our contact details.
Guarantee. To assure our shoppers a peace of mind, we offer 30-days moneyback guarantee on all our products that they are genuine and of good quality and extend up to 90-days for manufacturing defects. We understand that having one unsatisfied customer also means losing 10 or more potential customers.
Returns and Refunds. For unopened items and defective items, refund is unconditional.
Our Overheads
Operating online is not without its overheads and setbacks.
Enquiry. We spend lots of time answering enquiry. Try explaining how to purchase online by email. For retail sales, you can easily sense if the customer do not understand your reply and you can rephrase it.
Shipping of Orders. We spend considerable time packing the orders for shipment, free of charge. We absorb the cost of the envelop and other packing materials, including postage for local orders. For retail sales, customer simply pick up the items and pay at the cashier counter.
Tracking of Orders. We spend some time tracking down the orders if they do not arrive in time.
Worm emails. We have to constantly keep our antivirus programs up to date. We receive lots of masquerading emails. Our shoppers have our email address. If their computer were to be infected by worm emails, we will receive a copy of infected email disguised under a different sender identity.
Fraudulent purchases. We need to keep a look out for purchases using stolen credit cards. When a fraudulent purchase is reported, Newlook Marketing is obliged under the contract with our Payment gateway companies to pay back the card holder the full purchase amount plus a $15 administration fee.
